The famous Hot Springs Salsa yearly winter fest, with latin dance workshops in the afternoon & Salsa Party at Night. "Road Trip to Hanmer Springs - Its hot both inside the pool and hotter the Salsa hall"

Salseros from all around the New Zealand Christchurch, Dunedin, Westcoast, Blenheim, Nelson, Wellington, Wanganui & Auckland will combine this year and spend an awesome snowy winter weekend in Hanmer to move to the rythms of Salsa, Bachata, Merengue and Cha cha cha at the Hanmer Memorial Hall. So bring the kids and enjoy the treasures that Hanmer has to offer. Even though its often snowing it will be hot in the salsa hall and the hot pools... not to be missed! This is a beautiful alpine village ...enjoy the hotpools.. It's also the first weekend of the school holidays, kids are welcome at the party, infact school kids are free entry.

• 2:00pm - Salsa On1, spiral turn pattern (Imp/Int Level) with Reuben & Marcela - (Salsa Latina, Christchurch)

• 3:30pm Rueda (Open Level) with Petera & Marie-Louise (World Salsa Tours, Wanganui)

Saturday Night Salsa Party with Latin Dance Intro Latin Dance Intro 8pm (45min) This fun class is included with party entrance fee. This intro class is ideal for absolute beginners and all other levels to get started with some Latin dancing for the night! Learn from legendary Salsero - Mr Stayz & partner (Star Dance Academy, Nelson). Social Salsa Dancing all night from 8pm, come and dance the night away to Bachata, Zouk, Cha, Salsa, Merengue and more... This is a BYO party, bring your own drinks. Great dance floor, great sound system, be prepared for one of the most fun, relaxed & greatest Salsa nights for 2010.

General Information about Hanmer & this event

When should I go to Hamner? Most people will travel up and spend 2 nights in Hamner, leaving Friday after work and staying the Friday & Saturday Night.

Accommodation between a group is often very cheap, the average house to hire can work out as little as $20 per person per night. However some will travel up on the Saturday morning to make the workshops, while others will just travel to make the party and leave the same night without staying. We prefer to stay 2 nights so we can relax in the hot pools... you choose!
