About
Neil Cross is the master of suspence, 'an astonishing writer - tautly lyrical, and able at a stroke to fill you with cold, dark fear' (Time Out).
Neil Cross' latest novel, Captured, opens as Kenny, who has been diagnosed with a terminal disease, goes looking for an old school friend who he then discovers has gone missing. Kenny has no choice but to take matters into his own hands. And knowing that time is running out on him, he's prepared to do whatever it takes...
Neil is the author of several novels, including Always the Sun and Burial as well as the best-selling memoir Heartland. One of the most sought after TV writers around, he has been the lead script writer for the award-winning BBC spy drama series, Spooks, and is the creator and writer of the new psychological crime drama Luther, which was released in the UK in May this year.
Neil Cross was born in Bristol and has lived in Edinburgh, Brighton, Leeds and London before settling down in Wellington with his wife and children.
Neil talks about his career with Christchurch crime writer Paul Cleave.
