About
Here is Christchrurch: A Family Album, Is an exhibition of photographic images taken by the people of Canterbury after the Canterbury earthquakes. These images document and portray the human experience of the earthquakes and their aftermath, rather than the impacts that the events had upon the built and natural environments. The exhibition will display vernacular photographs; these include everyday shots that people have taken themselves at work and at play, or on special occassions in and around Christchurch over the last 18 months.
The project is curated by Richard Vokes, Kathy Harrington-Watt and Lydia carson from the department of Anthropology, and is supported by the Ceismic Contestable Fund and The Colombo, Sydenham.
