About
Flick presents the best of short film and television productions by students whose work may one day be seen by hundreds of thousands of New Zealanders.
The Flick showcase features a cross section of work from students enrolled in the various programmes offered at the New Zealand Broadcasting School. This includes dramas, music videos, documentaries and short films showcasing New Zealand as a backdrop and giving students an opportunity to explore tales of personal interest.
Students at the school learn all the skills associated with film and television production and television journalism, creating stories and that not only entertain but also help shape the way we see the world.
Flick this year will showcase the students material in an early 60's throwback caravan set on campus emulating a small community leisurely feel. A ten minute loop tape will be played throughout the day for people to come and see as they please.
For anyone with an interest in film or the broadcast media, turn off the TV and come into Flick for a sneak preview of the future; to discover the opportunities for a career in the screen industries.
Flick is a part of the Ignition programme, which is a showcase of creativity at CPIT.
