About
What sort of temporary, portable buildings do architects design for themselves? Earlier this year the Canterbury Branch of the New Zealand Institute of Architects (NZIA) held a design competition for a re-locatable exhibition pavilion. Open to any NZ architect who collaborated with a Cantabrian architect, the 31 entries received are presented in an exhibition held in the foyer of the Christchurch City Council Civic Building for the duration of FESTA. Pay particular attention to the winning entry ‘framescape [44]’ by Jasmax Architects: it will be appearing in the city soon as a vehicle for public display of architectural exhibitions and material relevant to the rebuild of Christchurch. Presented in association with the Canterbury Branch of the NZIA.
