About
'Building a Sense of Place'
Photographic Exhibition - Mahoney & Pickford
An outdoor photographic exhibition that documents buildings which have received financial assistance or have been targeted for assistance from the Canterbury Earthquake Heritage Buildings Fund.
Many of Canterbury's heritage buildings have been destroyed as a result of the earthquakes which devastated the region in 2010 and 2011. The future of many others lies in the balance.
Richard Mahoney and Kristina Pickford have been working together on Building a Sense of Place since December 2011. A large format view camera and slide film has been used for making images suitable for enlargement and archiving.
A self-guided walking tour can also be taken (brochures available at Worcester Boulevard and I-sites).
The exhibition has been generously sponsored by Blueprint participants, Warren and Mahoney, Boffa Miskell, Populous, Woods Bagot and Sheppard and Rout.
