About

This sculpture is a response to the fragility of our sense of self. The artist, Judy Rogers, invites you to walk around it and into it. It's about nurturing our sense of self and wellbeing in ourselves and others. It was painted between September 2010 and November 2011, but the idea was conceived long before that. Read more...

Heart Is Where the Home Is will be installed in two contrasting settings, amidst the urban deconstruction of Barbadoes and Kilmore Streets, and surrounded by the leafy softness of the Christchurch Botanic Gardens.

  • View and share the urban experience from 10am - 3pm on Saturday 21st January at Kilmore/Barbadoes. Postponement date Saturday 28th January.
  • View and share the gardens experience from 10am - 3pm (unless the wind gets up too much) on Sunday 19th February, on the lawn near the Botanic Gardens Kiosk. Postponement date Sunday 26th February.
