Imagine... the combination of two radical competitions! Celebrating the brilliance and creative genius of leading New Zealand hat and hair artists, radical art masterpieces presented in a catwalk format with a contemporary edge, compete to win outstanding prizes and prestigious titles. Prepare to be captivated with New Zealand's most extroverted and innovative awards dedicated to Hat and Hair Art. Inspired by the theme of "The Magic of Mystical Mythology" art and fashion collide head on creating revolutionary designs beyond commercial reality.
Competition across the four categories - Māori Legends and Myths, Unexplained Mysteries, Mythology of the Ancient World and Carnival Magic each with sections for hat and hair art entries plus special awards bring the value of prizes to $15,000.00.
Held in the stunning Theatre Royal, Timaru, the centre of heartland South Canterbury a magical setting will provide a stunning backdrop for the 2012 theme "The Magic of Mystical Mythology". A gala evening of elegance, glamour and entertainment will start with packages to attend the "Pre show cocktail party" and/or extend the experience with the after show supper "Up Close and Personal" meet the winners.
