About
The North Canterbury Musical Society presents Willy Russell's classic musical Blood Brothers which will be staged at the Chervier Centre, Victoria Street, Rangiora from 15th-31st March.
Blood Brothers is set in Liverpool from the 1960’s – 1980’s and tells the story of two twins who are separated at birth and go on to lead drastically different lives. However, fate conspires to bring the brothers together again after they both fall in love with the same girl, with tragic consequences.
Written by Willy Russell who has also given us Educating Rita and Shirley Valentine, Blood Brothers made its West End debut in 1983 and rapidly developed a cult following. It’s incredible score includes Bright New Day, Marilyn Monroe and the emotionally charged Tell Me It’s Not True.
