Join Christchurch for an evening of beach side fireworks off the New Brighton pier. Come down early and have a picnic with the family or enjoy the rides and carnival atmosphere on the beachfront. The show will be set to a fantastic soundtrack of classical and rock and will be simulcast on The Breeze 94.5 FM, so bring your radio down to get the full experience.

Please refrain from bringing your own fireworks to New Brighton beach

For easy parking the Rawhiti domain will be open and offering gold coin donation parking only a short walk from the beach.

Routes 5, 40, 51: Bus services will run as per the scheduled services - with relevant detours in place re road closures.

Extra buses will run to and from these key destinations:

• Bus Exchange (leaving approx every 5 mins from 7pm) The Palms (leaving approx every 10 mins from 7pm and every 5 mins from 8pm)

• Eastgate Mall (leaving approx every 10 mins from 7pm and every 5 mins from 8pm)

• Westfield Riccarton (leaving approx every 10 mins from 7pm - 8pm)

• The Hub Hornby (leaving approx every 10 mins from 7pm - 8pm)

• Merivale (leaving approx every 15 mins from 7.30pm)

NB: for earlier departure times refer to the Metrostar timetable. Return services available from Oram Ave, New Brighton after the Fireworks.
