We're proud to be a 'cycle friendly' Farmers' Market and strongly encourage cycling to the Market! February is Bikewise Month - and the Opawa Farmers' Market is embracing it with some fantastic events!

Frocks on Bikes - Sunday 5th February, 10am
We have been in discussion with ‘Frocks on Bikes’ and have arranged for a leisurely River Ride from the Princess Margaret Hospital down alongside the Heathcote River to the market.

Frocks On Bikes Christchurch are about encouraging the Garden City’s ladies to see cycle commuting as the obvious transport option in our beautiful - and FLAT - urban landscape. Christchurch women can cycle every day, in our normal and beautiful clothing – let’s debunk the myth that you need special gear to enjoy biking! By the way - men are welcome too.
 
Big Bike Fix Up - Sunday 12 February, 10am-12noon
In conjunction with ‘Around Again Cycles’ we are rapt to bring you this opportunity to get that bike running smoothly again. If your bike, or your child’s bike, has been languishing around the garage in need of some work (gears not changing properly, flat tyre, squeaky chain, brakes not working correctly) we can help! Come along to our free bike maintenance morning and get your beloved bikes moving again. (Note, any big jobs may need to be referred to Around Again Cycles bike shop.)
