Hagley Jazz Course 25 Years Jazz Jam
Saturday 01 Jul
Hagley Jazz began in February 1992 in the inimitable Chilton House. The course grew from the vision of founder Wytze Hoekstra, and with the support of Hagley College, it unfolded to become a well-respected catalyst and starting point for many musicians seeking a further pathway into musical arts.
Over the past twenty-five years, more than five hundred students have been through the course. It has had only three program leaders starting with Wietze who handed the baton to Todd Jones and now Annabel Harrold is at the helm. By way of celebrating this fantastic course, Hagley Jazz is holding a “Jam Session” where current students will showcase what contemporary pupils are committed to achieving. We would love to invite past students to come along and perform.
This evening will be held in the Hagley Cafe, it's free to attend and there will be a cash bar available. BYO finger food.
