Matariki Discovery Dome

Science Alive bring their inflatable Discovery Dome to the Christchurch Art Gallery NZI Foyer for a weekend of astronomical exploration to celebrate Matariki and traditional Māori starlore.

Head inside the Discovery Dome for an exploration of the universe and learn Māori kōrero about the stars, including important information about creation, the seasons, food harvesting and navigation.

Children need to be accompanied by parents for this activity.

Bookings limited. Sessions are approximately 40 minutes long.
