DramFest is New Zealand's premiere whisky festival, showcasing some of the worlds finest whiskies. Proudly organized by Whisky Galore (whiskygalore.co.nz), DramFest features a film night, 30+ stands and exhibitors and specalist masterclasses. This is an opportunity to gain an education, appreciation and passion for all things whisky.

Friday the 24th of February 2012 - Film Night
Friday night kicks off DramFest with the famous Ealing Studio's movie Whisky Galore. Telling the story of the pillaging of a ship laden with whisky run aground on Eriskay, this fabulous old black and white comedy is well worth viewing with a dram in hand. The film is being screened at the DramFest Marquee.

Saturday the 25th of February 2012 - Main Event
Saturday is the main feature of the festival. There will be 30 to 37 stands present representing around 50 different whisky houses, brands and distilleries, with each stand having between 3 and 10 whiskies on display with a number open for tastings. This is an event for newcomers and afficionados alike, tickets cost $45 per person.

Sunday the 26th of February 2012 - The sessions
Intimate whisky tastings with 8 experts from Scotland showcasing some of the very best whiskies from Scotland including independently bottled, rare or small batch whiskies not available at the main event. Places for these events are extremely limited and cost between $39 and $58 per person.
