The legendary stalwarts of Christchurch's jazz music scene together for one concert only!
Known locally as "the Maestro", Christchurch jazz legend Doug Caldwell is in his 80s and has performed all over the world with musicians like Henry Mancini, Ronnie Scott, Scott Hamilton, Nat Adderley and Mavis Rivers. As a pianist, teacher, arranger and band leader he has played a seminal role in the history of jazz in New Zealand.
Stu Buchanan is well known for his musical abilities. Recognised as one of the foremost saxophone players in New Zealand, his experience as a player, composer, arranger and conductor is second to none. He has worked with many overseas artists including Nat Adderly and Shirley Bassie.
