Aoraki Dragons ran this start-of-the-season event for the first time in early December 2008. Christchurch Teams are very keen to enter it again this year. Teams will have many first-time paddlers, and they will be keen to see what a real race feels like. So join us to see how they go!

Note that the original date of 12-Dec has been brought forward to Sunday 6-December (because of the better tides on the Avon). Unfortunately plans to take it out of town (the brand new Lake at Pegasus Town, just north of Woodend) fell through so we are back to our 'home ground' at Kerr's Reach on the Avon River.
