One of the most popular race events in the country, the 3,200 metre Christchurch Casino NZ Cup, is guaranteed to be an exciting event over the metric two mile distance.

The glamour stakes are high at Riccarton Park Raceway's Cup Day. Elegant ladies and gentlemen will vie for fashion honours at the spectacular Millennium Hotels and Resorts Fashion in the Field competitions. You can enter here from 1 September. Register from 11am and the catwalk action starts in the Birdcage Bar and Event area from 12 noon.

To add to the racing action, there will be on-course competitions adding excitement to an already special day. Details of competitions will be posted on this site as soon as they are confirmed.

This exciting race day also features the Berkley Stud Welcome Stakes.

Christchurch Casino NZ Cup and New Zealand Bloodstock 1000 Guineas Day at Riccarton Park Racecourse is restricted to patrons aged 18 years of age or older.

For those attending Members and Corporate areas only, age exceptions can apply, however minors (aged less than 18 years of age) must be registered before Friday 26 October 2012. Contact Riccarton Park Raceway on 03 336-0000 for details on how to register a minor.

The Carriage Paddock area, west of the Grand National Lawn, will however be only for patrons aged 18 years of age or older(R18).

Gates open at 9am and suites are open from 11.30am. The first race is at 12.15pm. Entry is via Racecourse Road or Steadman Road.
