Come join in this twilight 10km "out and back" road race / running course, or for Secondary School students, join in the 5km "out and back" Fun Run. There will be Performance Prizes, Spot Prizes and a BBQ/Social.
Starting in Halswell Quarry, the route takes you out along Kennedy's Bush Road, right onto Cashmere Road, right onto Hoon Hay Valley Road and then back. The 5 km Fun Run returns from half distance.
This is an Athletics New Zealand sanctioned event, and entry is open to both registered and non-registered competitors, aged 17 years and over.
FEES:
- 10km (non-registered): $20 *
- 10km (Athletics New Zealand 2011/2012 Registered): $10 Concession *
- 5km (Secondary School-aged Athletes): $5 *
ENTRY INFORMATION:
- Postal entries close on Wednesday 20th February. Entry form and cheque should be posted to Athletics Canterbury, PO Box 3130, Christchurch 8140.
- Online entries close on Saturday 23rd February. Entry by credit card should be made at www.enteronline.co.nz.
- Late entries will be accepted online at www.enteronline.co.nz up to Monday 27th February or at the venue on the day up to 30 minutes prior to the start times.
* Please note that an additional late fee of $10.00 (10km) and 5km (5km) is payable on all late entries.
RACE RULES
- Race numbers are to be worn high on the chest and the entire number must be visible.
- Entrants without clearly visible numbers, or with numbers that have been defaced in any way, will be disqualified.
- The directions of race officials must be obeyed at all times.
- The organisers reserve the right to withdraw any entrants they consider unable to continue for medical reasons on the advice of the Race Doctor.
- Entries are not transferable to another competitor.
- Walkers are required to walk no more than two abreast.
- Cyclists, dogs and strollers are not permitted on the course.
- Competitors who do not comply with race rules may be disqualified.
- The event has been sanctioned and will be conducted under the rules of Athletics New Zealand.
